The architects view The interiors of the villas at St. Stephen's Hill follow a modern open plan style which allows for a greater visual interaction between the flowing spaces and thus the users. The exteriors of these villas combine both modern and traditional styles in terms of proportions (modern) and roof lines (traditional for the surrounding region) into pleasant atmospheric homes. The villas have been designed with an architecture which incorporates modern/ traditional forms and profiles while using local building materials, which in turn blends them well with the older architecture of the surrounding area. The villas take full advantage of the strong southern light which is characteristic of the Algarve region. The main leisure spaces within the villas are oriented towards the south thereby receiving the maximum amount of light. The large south facing windows not only let in bright illumination from the sun but also look towards the sea coastline. As the villas are situated on an attractive rolling hill, they offer unique views towards the sea coastline and/ or the beautiful orchards with occupy the local landscape. They are a short and pleasant walk to the ancient local hamlet with its cafés and old church (whose bells can be heard calling the faithful to mass, or chiming the change of hour).
